Camaraderie at the Sakura Matsuri Faire

The Sakura Matsuri Food and Shopping Faire returns in March to the Buddhist Church of Sacramento, which is celebrating a milestone this year. Our 125th anniversary!

Vendors will be selling handcrafted items and other products that are sure to catch your eye, including anniversary memorabilia. In addition, temple organizations, including the Adult Buddhist Association and the Sacramento Buddhist Women’s Association, will be dishing up food and raising money for their respective organizations.

Karen Adachi, president of the board of trustees for the Buddhist Church of Sacramento, organizes the Sakura Matsuri event. “This annual fundraiser has been a personal favorite for me because it has become a community event, supporting not only our temple's organizations but vendors from the Sacramento area as well as other areas in California.”

“As we celebrate our 125th anniversary this year,” added Karen, “Sakura Matsuri demonstrates the camaraderie between our affiliated and sponsored organizations who have been a significant part of our church's rich history.”

The Sakura Matsuri Food and Shopping Faire takes place on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 9 AM to 3 PM, at 2401 Riverside Boulevard. 

Shopping Faire:  9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Food Faire:  10:30 am - 1:30 pm (or until sold out)
